Random
Here are a couple random things I've been working on lately. There were no goals in mind, just seeing where my random wanderings take me.

Night Photography
So I started out doing night photography a lot when I started RCC because I worked 40 hrs a week and only had time to shoot at night. I haven't doneany really since I quit that job so I've done more
since working on my internship. I'm a little rusty at it, but here is what I have lately...

New and Old
I've been busy working at Viewpoint Studios in High Point on my internship and haven't posted anything in a while. I went to the lake on my day off and took some photos. Here are some with an old one thrown in.
Old:
New:
I was waiting for the right light for my HDR image(the last image) and heard a noise in the woods. This doe and her baby came down to drink. They were only about 40 ft. away(yay for public parks and being desensitized to human presence).

Client 6: My Symbol
This image illustrates an experience I've had that makes me who I am as a person. The statue is a bronco, which is the vehicle I grew up in taking road trips with my family. The images that make up the bronco are images from trips we have taken.

A day at the zoo
We went to the NC Zoo today. I went to photograph a couple backgrounds for John's latest project and decided to take a trip through Africa.
He doesn't like bees.
Yes, I know that Mr. Flare is present here, but I couldn't pass up the shot. According to Julie, its an F/8 and be there moment.

The Bride
Needing to relieve some stress and to shoot something for fun, Dusty was kind enough to help me brush up on my wedding photo skills by running down the mechanic's hallway. Thanks Dusty, you're the best!

Self Promo #4 More Toys
This is another self promotional shot I've done with childhood toys. I liked the reflections and decided to have only the reflected pick up sticks to be in color.

Self Promo #3 Cheerwine
Here is my self promotional # 3 assignment. I wanted to do some more reflections. I did touch up in Photoshop but the reflections I show are real. I actually found a glass bottle at a gas station(rare these days) and wanted to photograph it. I decided to tip the bottle because it looks neat and bottles sitting up straight are boring.

Here is the setup for the most part, I like to keep it simple.

Matches
I was messing around with macro last weekend. The matches were on the counter after using the grill and I liked the way the sun played across them through the window.

Client #3
Our class had to take a photo for a book cover to illustrate intolerance in America. I chose multiple colors of thread to represent different people and cultures. The thread coming off the spools shows that we are all connected even though we may be different. Or if you are Jonathan it could be fuses to dynamite.
The setup involved a softbox and fill card. The light setup was broncolor. The camera was a Mamiya 645AF with a Leaf Aptus 17 digital back. 1/50s @ f/11 with a 120mm lens.

1ST Self Promo Photo
This is the first self promotion assignment I did for Commercial. It is an old rusted metal morter and pestle that was on the front porch. It was photographed with the Sinar digital back on a Mamiya RZ67.
